The chapel, existing in the XV century with the name S.Maria della Pace, was bought by the Assunta’s Confraternity in 1742. Since 1987, on Good Friday a suggestive penitential procession starts from the chapel with hundreds of confreres, wearing violet tunic and cowl, take part in it. In the chapel it is possible to admire some artworks, such as the eighteen- century wooden altar, which is entirely decorated with fabric panels and filaments with floral and sacral motifs, made with glass beads, corals and mother of pearl. The altar, located in the Confraternity’s oratory, was restored in 2000 thanks to Senator Susanna Agnelli and funds of EIB (European Investment Bank).
